Context

AIDS diagnoses among young Brazilians had climbed for a decade. Most turned first to the internet, where reliable information was hard to find.

Two participants talking in a garden

The problem

Institutional HIV information reads like a pamphlet. Someone who just tested positive wants someone who has been there.

Two participants talking in a kitchen

The idea

A reality-format series rather than a health campaign. Real people living with HIV answering the direct questions a newly diagnosed person has, filmed at home in São Paulo.

My role

I led the campaign identity and the site frontend with the dev team, worked on art direction and video, cast the influencers and was on set.

The work

Upaya delivered the campaign visual identity, the site frontend with the dev team, art direction and video production, influencer casting and on-set support during filming.

Why it worked

The episodes were built as answers, not as messages. Each one starts with a question a newly diagnosed person types into a search bar and ends with a person who has already lived through it.

Let's create
something together.

If your organisation has a message that has to reach the people who are not listening yet, tell me about it.
